SUMMER MEETINGS
Our standard practice for the summer months – June, July, and August – is to have informal meetings for which we
have a theme but are otherwise free to discuss whatever genealogy-related topics that the attendees have in mind.
Suggested themes for the three summer months are: Internet research; DNA genealogy; and immigration and
passenger lists. Please feel free to suggest other topics in which you have an interest. Our summer meetings are held
at the same time and place as our regular monthly meetings – 1:00 PM in the Coyote Room of the SaddleBrooke
Clubhouse
Patrick Lavin
Patrick is a former SaddleBrooke resident, former member of SBGC, and has been the featured speaker at several
of our past meetings. He also was an exhibitor and sponsor of our February all-day seminar. Patrick has a special
interest in Irish family history research and has recently published a book entitled Ancestral Quest: Tracing My
Ancestors in Ireland. The book is accompanied by a “Handy Reference Guide to Irish Genealogical Resource
Materials.” Patrick’s book can be purchased for $21.95 by contacting the author at ipatricklavin@aol.com. It can
also be ordered at www.iUniverse.com or www.Amazon.com.
